What Does My Year End Look Like? What Will Happen In The New Year?
We are coming to an end with 2025, all I can say is thank fucking goodness. Here is my timeline of 2025:
1. January was a whole bad way to begin because we were trapped inside a good chunk and I couldn't send my teenager to School due to the ice on our driveway and bus stop. Began writing Lesbian Café as a Novel to get a taste of writing a big book.
2. February it wasn't too much better with my teen constantly getting sick at random after being out for a whole month. It was a constant back and forth to see the doctor in Summersville. The school's attendance policy caused more stress than good because of how much restriction.
3. March my teen became Homeschooled because I got sick and tired of the attendance policies and how they handled kids with disabilities or major health problems. 8 days or less for attendance can be ridiculous for those with bad health whether mental or physical. That's all I have to say on that.
4. April & May we were smooth sailing. My teen succeeded in Homeschooling for the last two months and we celebrated the achievement.
5. June was a really hard one. It was between good and bad. Good: I did Publish 2 books which was Butterflies and my participated Anthology True Colors with fellow Authors. It was a happy ending of June for those two books. Not sure of sales for True Colors but Butterflies managed to do well. Bad: We lost his Mom Allison. It was the most heartbreaking thing to witness and first that I've ever seen someone dying. On top of that I lost part of my Social Security. My SSI went first which I had a feeling would happen.
6. In July, I lost the second part of my Social Security. My SSDI and Medicaid that was for my heart condition and all. It wasn't what I expected to lose all at once but it was really hard.
7. August was quiet for the most part except preparing for the new school year. That is always fun.
8. September started Homeschooling because we decided to go by Ballard Schedule instead of Braxton, it seems a lot easier plus my teen is mostly caught up with students from that School. If you are wondering Ballard is in Seattle, Washington in King County. Also, Larry released his version of our love story. Love Story: Larry & Amber that made for my third book of the year.
9. For October, well, I participated in Haunted Hallows with Ashes and fellow Authors because Halloween is my favorite. What? I'm a fall baby and my birthday is early in the month. I was also proud that I finished an Event on Dreamlight Valley with minimum trouble.
10. November & December, my poor husband has had multiple break downs since losing his Mama. He did go to therapy back during the Summer months but he is still having rough days. He is having good and bad days depending on the memories. She's only been gone six months but it feels so much longer and I know it won't be easy coming into the new year.
We have a long way to go before we know what is coming. I have plans for the new year. Does it mean they will follow through? Yeah, I'm not sure. I'm still very much undecided what to do about my books series because I have some that love them while others aren't very accepting and it's a disappointment to say the least. I may stick with my gut and stay with AO3 for my books series because at least I'm not getting hate or anything else. My only main goal is to keep Publishing and bringing out books because without my career, I don't know what else to do with myself.
July 4th, 2026 will be my 10 year anniversary as an Author that is hard to believe. 30+ books and I'm heading to my 10 year anniversary. Not sure what we are going to be doing since it is also a Holiday but we will find out.
In the meantime, I'm closing this blog out with a positive note.
Wishing you all success and joy! See you in January with more highlights. Who knows I might be able to release Lesbian Café before the Summer that would be epic.
