Readers Trolling Authors

If you are seeing this then you know I am not playing around. I am not holding back on voicing my opinion in the book world or anything else. 

This is the post I made on Goodreads last night for those that missed it: We all have different book taste I get it but if you are constantly rating books 1-3 with very little reason, I will unfriend and unfollow you. That is really trolling Authors and uncalled for. If you don't like certain books don't read them. Yes, we can have opinions and ratings but dang, seriously?! I had to unfriend someone because it was making me uncomfortable to see such ratings and reasonings.

As for why I made this post, simple answer. A 19 year old girl who I was friends with and following out of random, didn't know her at all had been reading Dork Diaries Series (one of my personal favorites). Anyways, I noticed she was giving it 1-3 stars for the first 4 books and I am like wait, that doesn't seem right. Yeah, Nikki is dramatic and everything she is a Middle Schooler. I mean, this girl was literally sabotaging Rachel Renée Russell for even putting out this series, it is for teenage girls or even adults that don't want to read Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. Then I went to look at what she has read just out of pure curiosity. Not only did she give Vampire Academy, Frost Bite, and Shadow Kiss all by Richelle Mead all about 1-2 stars, she did the same with Marissa Meyer of her Renegades Series. Now me and this 19 year old had about 50% of the same material of liking but what's worse is she trolled every book possible except maybe one or two that I could see. 

So, not only was she trolling of what I like to read on a personal level but taking out on many other books all because she claims to read all sorts of genres though is rating and reviewing with not enough context besides to complain about how bad a book is. I didn't dare read all of her reviews but what she did to Dork Diaries Series was enough for me to say no. 

If you are out to troll every Author out there, don't bother picking up a book because I am going to say this right here and now: I will unfriend and unfollow you in a heart beat. I have no reason to keep you around if you are to constantly downgrade an Author whether they are well known, starting out, or even famous. That is down right wrong on every level. 

I stand for all Authors except J.K. Rowling (I have my reasons).
