Feeling The Pressure

I've heard of many Authors say that they feel the pressure of deadlines or getting that story out before readers forget about it. I don't have that issue since I don't really release books in a hurry or at least I didn't until recently.

I've talked about Lesbian Café since December of last year and all the quirks that I'm doing differently. I'm adding one or two sex scenes for those curious. I decided to go Mature content with this one. It is also friendship to lovers type, I'm not sure how else to describe it.

Anyways, as of let's say last Wednesday my best friend in Pennsylvania messaged me the book about us which is Lesbian Café, now mind you I haven't worked on it since April 21st, 2025 while working on another project for an Anthology. Surprisingly, as soon as she mentioned about it I had jumped back on the band wagon and slowly started writing it again.

Now you are wondering where the pressure comes in? I got high demand on Lesbian Café after Amber Rishel brought it to my attention not long after friends, my sons friends, fellow Authors, and more have shown interest in it. I mean, I did quit promoting it after a while because I saw no reason too since I was working on Butterflies and trying to push it out for release within one to two months. That had changed as once again Butterflies is now on hold while working on this one.

Do I regret the pressure? No. It just means I got more of a focus ahead. Meaning readers are depending on me to be the best that I can be on making the book.

So, my binge reading and gaming have altered at this point. I'm gaming late in the afternoon and reading late at night.

At this point, I will not lie, and say I haven't cringed over Tobias' version more than once already. I'm only about 10k words in and can feel the dread of each chapter that I reread for the 4th or 5th time by now. The one's that have read my version gave me praises for changing the outcome and using my thoughtful resources for my version. As many have pointed out, yes, I'm going to feeling this all Summer to get this book out and for the world.

I haven't written a Novel length book in years. So, expect mental days where I have to slow down. If you are on Wattpad and Inkitt reading this one just know that I will be posting Chapters on Fridays most likely to keep a steady flow. This project is huge and bigger than I imagined. Once again, I don't have a release date. It will be released as soon as it is finished. I have both Kindle and Paperback ready to go.

I wish you all a wonderful day, it is off to get more writing in before more bad weather arrives.

~Amber
